There are several "bodies of knowledge" in the project management domain. PMBOK being a well known one. But BOK's are equally as important.

DoD PMBOK - the US Department of Defense PMBOK
Systems Engineering BOK - INCOSE is developing a BOK for Systems Engineering. There are several papers on this topic that provide background prior to the final document
