Here's a Microsoft Project template for guiding the development of an Object Oriented project. This template is taken from  Use Cases Combined with Booch OMT UML. This may be considered a "heavy weight" process in today's vocabulary of eXtreme Programming, but it does provide a starting point for anyone not yet familiar with the techniques of OOAD. 

OOAD Project Plan Template.mpp is a starting point for the Technical System Design phase of a project.

Project Breathalyzer 20K This checklist is derived from Software Program Managers Network materials. It should be posted on the door of every project manager, and checked every morning before work starts. The SPMN site contains important guidelines for managing projects. These include the Nine Best Practices and the 16 Critical Software Practices. Both should be read and reread frequently by a software project manager.
